A brand is the perceived emotional corporate image as a whole. The identity is the visual aspects that form part of the overall brand. The logotype identifies a business in its purest form via the use of a mark or icon. A brand identity is the combined message transmitted via the brand name, logotype, style and visuals. A graphic identity, or visual identity, is the brand message communicated by a company’s logo, design schemes, characters and other visual symbols used in internal and external signals.
